At Kalexedy Learning Center, we love celebrating the changing seasons, and Halloween is one of our favorites! This year, we've transformed our classrooms and halls into a spooky wonderland, full of fun and festive decorations to get everyone in the Halloween spirit.
A Chilling Entrance
From the moment you see our doors, you're greeted by an eerie, yet fun, entrance display. Our front lobby is shrouded in skulls, complete with decorative hanging signs that make you feel like you’ve just stepped into a haunted house. To top it off, a glowing skull greets visitors with a smile (or a spooky grin!).
Creepy Classrooms
Each classroom has its own unique Halloween flair, with teachers and students collaborating on the design. Some of the highlights include:
Spooky Dinner Party: When your plates look like eyes, the drinks are sketchy, and the menu includes things with tentacles, you have found your way to our creepy dinner party.
Pumpkin Patch: Our enrichment time has given way to pumpkins. Each pumpkin has its own personality—some are silly, others are a little spooky!
Bat Mobiles: Paper bats soar through the air, fluttering from the ceiling with their wings in mid-flight. They're accompanied by remnants of a mad scientists experiments, adding a magical touch to the dark skies of our “haunted” classrooms.
Spooky Hallways
Our hallways have been transformed into dark, winding paths of Halloween delight. From Caution taped doors to glow-in-the-dark eyes that appear in the dim light, there's no shortage of fun frights for students and visitors alike.
Spider Infestation: One of the kids’ favorite parts of the hallway is the spider webs with their egg sacs just waiting to hatch. They navigate through the space, carefully avoiding the creepy-crawly inhabitants of the webs as they make their way through the school.
Dead Bodies: Watch your step! The Halloween coroner has come through and left outlines of the bodies that dropped in our hall, likely from fun overdose. 😉
The Finishing Touch: Halloween Spirit
What makes Halloween at Kalexedy Learning Center truly special is the energy and creativity of our students and staff. Everyone has come together to make the school a fun, festive, and slightly spooky place to be. The sounds of happiness, mischief, and evil laughter rang again and again as the decorations were imagined, built, and installed. Creativity overflowed from everyone, seemingly onto every conceivable surface. From the adorable DIY decorations made by our students to the thoughtful displays created by our teacher, the spirit of Halloween is alive and well here!
